Phantom III Front Suspension.

Herewith is N.Sch.4796 which shows the thread in the shock damper piston for spring withdrawal purposes enlarged so as to reduce the difficulty of chamfering the piston which is now experienced, due to the very small tool necessary to pass the existing hole.

The air release holes are replaced by slots, existing piston castings can be used, and the enlarged external plug boss will come out of the existing forging.
