It seems doubtful whether we shall be able to continue our normal running 15,000 miles at Chateauroux. This means that we shall have to get out a new specification for testing required before parts are ready for standardisation. The conditions available will be mainly road running in England, bump testing at the Works, bench testing at the Works, Brooklands track, and occasional Continental runs of 2,000 to 3,000 miles under touring conditions. Will you please submit your suggestions as to a suitable standardisation test for the parts in which you are interested, making the best possible use of the facilities likely to be available.
