All letters must be addressed to the Company, not to individuals For the attention of Mr. Hives. Dear Sirs, In reference to your request for 18 m/m and 14 m/m car plugs fitted with low voltage gaps, we are sending you under separate cover one dozen X337, 18 m/m plugs fitted with three-point low voltage gaps, which we think will be suitable either for your 40/50 h.p. or your 25 h.p. car engines. As regards 14 m/m car plugs, we are sending you six X335, fitted with three-point low voltage gap, and six X339, fitted with two-point gap. These have been specially designed for your new Bentley engine. We thought it best to send you some of each so you may determine which type of gap suits your engine the best, and we shall be glad to hear from you on this point on the conclusion of your tests. Apart from the gap both these plugs are the same as the X318, but have a nickel electrode instead of copper, and we think you will find these plugs will entirely overcome the burning trouble which you experienced with the copper electrodes; at the same time we think the plugs will run sufficiently cool enough for road conditions. Yours faithfully, LODGE PLUGS LIMITED. Bernard Hopps. Director | ||
