The Technical Editor, "The Motor", 5-17, Rosebery Avenue, LONDON, E.C.1. Dear Sir, I have studied with interest the blue print appearing in "The Motor" of March 21st. concerning offset transmission. I have known for a long time that an orthodox saloon has least air resistance when driven backwards, and am delighted to see that Rolls-Royce now take advantage of this with their new axle construction. I should be very grateful if you would let me know where I could try such a car to find out whether, as some of my friends tell me, the disadvantages occasionally outweigh the advantages. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
