X1160 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.11/KW. Your Ref: RO{C. C. Rose - Export Manager}/EJT. 22nd April, 1936. Messrs. Siemens-Schuckert (Great Britain) Ltd., 30-34, New Bridge St.{Capt. P. R. Strong}, LONDON, E.C.4. Dear Sirs, Noise Meters. We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 21st inst. We do not think, however, that the Peak Noise Meter would be at all suitable for our purpose. We find that the difficulty in using an accoustic meter in a motor car is usually to arrange the instrument to neglect momentary extraneous noises which may be considerably louder than the sound being measured. In view of this we do not think that any useful purpose could be served by a demonstration of the Peak Noise Meter. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
