x573D 25 HP. Steering Gears. 1. The Bentley steering box is identical in all respects to 25 HP. 2. Helix angle standard 25 Hp. and Bentley 8.45°. 3. Helix angle standard Phantom II = 7.25° 4. Standard 25 HP. turns of steering wheel from lock to lock - 2.15 (assuming solid s.s. tube). If angle of worm were altered to Ph.II, 7.25°, turns of wheels would be 2.52. This is approx. the same as on 21-G-IV before the cam was changed the last time, and is 17.5% lower than standard. Shorter pendulum lever - 2.75 turns. Present 21-G-IV - 3 turns.
