Ck.{Mr Clark} from Mr. Walker X.995 W1/VM30.3.21. X.664 - DENSITY OF ACID IN BATTERY. X.995. With reference to the reduction of specific gravity of acid in batteries for Australian cars we attach herewith a copy of the slip which we propose having printed for insertion in existing Instruction Books. Will you please say if you approve. "DENSITY OF ACID IN BATTERY". "On cars used in hot climates the densities of the acid in the battery for various conditions of charge should all be read as 30 points below the figures given in this book. For instance, in such circumstances the density of the acid when first added to a new battery should be 1290 and for the fully charged condition 1240 to 1260". N.W. N.M.
