the 7.1 engine into the Bensport. It is probable that we shall have to make the chassis 6" longer, which will leave the car 6" shorter than the present standard 2.11, the lower chassis and improved body space should give us equal accommodation. This will enable us to make a real Continental All type car with the following advantages :-

(1) It will be 5 - 6 cwt. lighter than the present car.

(2) It will be lower and better appearance.

(3) It will be definitely cheaper.

We have got the engine with the larger bore running and it is performing reasonably satisfactorily, but by itself it would not justify a different size of engine.

The car we are suggesting we think would have a performance that would satisfy our customers for several years. The car would be safer, nicer to handle and control, and of better appearance. There would be very little design work to do because most of the Bensport scheme is applicable to this car. All the work which has been done in making the Peregrine chassis strong enough for the Bensport can be applied to this car.

We do hope it will be agreed to build up one car of this type for trial because we are sure that it will make a far better car than the present one and should enable us to get quite a slice off the best.
