WST V6000 see me To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. Dor{Mr Dorey}/Dsby.1/MH.{M. Huckerby} 13.5.36. SPARKING PLUG VOLTAGE TESTS ON MERLIN 'C'.15 ENGINE. Attached is a statement of figures obtained on the first test. At high altitudes, adjusting the air gap to reproduce a single flash was rather difficult, and was probably due to quick ionisation. Furthermore, it was noticed that, in some instances, at lower altitudes, whilst a single flash was easily produced, no subsequent flash would occur at the same setting of electrodes. However, the measurements given are in respect of the first H.T. discharge. It is hoped from this experience, to give more reliable data on subsequent flights. Dor{Mr Dorey}/Dsby. Rhto.
