INTERFERENCE ELIMINATION. Sparking caused by contacts being broken causes interfering noises to be radiated through the mains. It is the purpose of the Interference Compensator to block this radiation. To a predominating degree the trouble arises from high frequency currents, their characteristic sign being more or less continuous crackling or rustling, while low frequency currents generally make themselves heard by a humming sound. If Interference Compensators are connected to the source of the interference, these interfering currents are short-circuited and made ineffective, thus preventing radiation. The principle to be adopted for effective elimination is therefore : ELIMINATE THE INTERFERENCE AT ITS SOURCE. All Interference Eliminators are fitted with Internal Fuses—protected earth capacity and suitable Wire Leads for connection to the source of interference. Types Capacities SK 1 .1-C-.1 For A.C.
