X5400 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}E.BY. re Luggage Grid for Experimental Car, 21-G-4. Referring to the above, i.e. the very heavy parts which you showed me when I was at Derby on the 1st May, I have had this matter investigated and I do not think I can do better than enclose copy of LHS{Lord Herbert Scott}'s memo. to me on the subject. Briefly the position is that no grids of the same type as have ever been supplied on a body to our order previous to this one. The first one like it was condemned by us because of its weight and Hooper's produced a lighter one which gave trouble. Paragraph 4 explains how the one for this car came to be different from the lighter one standard at that date. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Enc. Copy of LHS.{Lord Herbert Scott}1/CP30.5.34 | ||
