re Luggage Grid for Experimental Car, 21-G-4.

Referring to the above, i.e. the very heavy parts which you showed me when I was at Derby on the 1st May, I have had this matter investigated and I do not think I can do better than enclose copy of LHS{Lord Herbert Scott}'s memo. to me on the subject.

Briefly the position is that no grids of the same type as have ever been supplied on a body to our order previous to this one.

The first one like it was condemned by us because of its weight and Hooper's produced a lighter one which gave trouble.

Paragraph 4 explains how the one for this car came to be different from the lighter one standard at that date.
