The curves in Fig. IV represent the voltage of the battery when supplying current to the lamps and effectively illustrate the very small voltage variation even when the Dynamo is charging the battery at maximum output.

The lamp load of 8.5 amps was divided between two Head Lamp bulbs of 36 c.p. each, two Side Lamp bulbs of 6 c.p. each, and a Tail Lamp bulb of 6 c.p. giving a total of 90 c.p. which may be taken as a fair average if a really effective and safe driving light is required.
