1.J.III. Chassis.

We have now completed a series of tests on the above car and the following is a list of the parts requiring modification or other attention.

Engine.
(1) Modified silent tappet mechanism with new oil feed and correct length push rods.
(2) Sparking plug housings in cylinder head? - Plug threads protrude into combustion chamber and become corroded with carbon, making them very difficult to take out.
(3) Camshaft.
(4) Carburetter.
(5) Air Silencer with provision for crankcase breather.
(6) New ignition curve.
(7) Oil pump very noisy.
(8) Water tap - works open on road.

Clutch.
Modified type of clutch to be fitted.

Gearbox.
(1) Very bad rattle on overrun 48 - 40 M.P.H.
(2) 3rd. gear easily crashes when changing - does not synchro-mesh.
(3) 35º and 40º servo cams.

Front Axle.
Modified type of front axle.

Petrol Tank.
Modified type of petrol filler.
