In reply to BY/Cgh.{W Clough}2/W29.1.37 and with reference to CxIO/KW26.1.37 to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, a copy of which I attach, you will see that your recommendation is not a complete solution of the trouble.
We believe a great many Bentleys are fitted with discs, and these Bentley owners are in the same position as P.III owners whose cars are fitted with discs, as they can neither use chains nor tyre grips without the laborious task of removing the discs, which most of them will I am sure refuse to do.
I hope therefore, this matter can receive some consideration in connection with the point raised in my memo to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} on the subject of P.III.
