To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} 300a 19.5.37 35.EX. Further to report on above car Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux}3/AP.11.5.37 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} wishes me to stress the reference to "re-formed" shell. Detonation to 20.m.p.h. was noticeable on Esso Ethyl purchased at Folkstone on arriving in England. GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} therefore instructed me to fill with the new shell, at Cricklewood, to obtain a comparison. There was no noticeable increase in detonation, and no difference between the two fuels could be detected. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} | ||
