r19182 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.7/MA. 15th October, 1934. Messrs.K.L.G.Sparking Plugs Ltd., Robinhood Engineering Works, Putney Vale, London, S.W.15. For the attention of Major C.M.Carington. Dear Sirs, We have now received the new K.L.G. type 850 sparking plug which you have submitted for test on the Bentley car. We like the appearance of these plugs and it looks as if they will be eminently suitable for the Bentley conditions. We are anxious to try Stellite on the central electrodes and in order to make a useful comparison we would like you to let us have six centre pins so that we can Stellite them for you. We shall then give you an order for six more plugs of the 850 type to be built up with these Stellited centre pins. Three of each of these plugs, i.e. stellited and non-stellited will be put on test on the bench and on the chassis to gain useful comparison. When you send the pins will you kindly let us have a drawing showing the dimensions to which the Stellited tip should be ground. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
