STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS.

Description of Parts.
40/50 HP. DYNAMO - 28 SLOT ARMATURE.

Origin.
Further improvement to the silence and commutation of the machine.

Experimental Test Report.
As previously reported we are practically free from magnetic noise with the present std. 29 slot armature used with the narrower brush, larger air gap, machine. Tests shew however that a further small improvement is realised by the use of a 28 slot armature, the appearance of which, compared with std., is the same. The use of this arm: cured Test Dept. cases of magnetic noise on the old type wide brush machine.

Road Test Report.
Run 7211 miles on 12-EX.
" 5806 " " 9-EX.
It is considered unnecessary to complete 10,000 miles on the machine before standardisation is effected.
