X6089 c. Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.1/AD. October 30th, 1931. The General Electric Co.Ltd. 34/35 Moor St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Birmingham. Dear Sirs, Osram Automobile Lamps. We had a number of failures on our experimental chassis at the Works of the 48 watt Osram centre contact automobile lamps. The failures are due to the filament breaking away from the top support. We should be glad to know if there is any possibility of any improvement in the design of holding the filament in order to obviate this trouble. We should like to have your comments on this phenomenon and we are sending you under separate cover one of the lamps which has failed. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
