supply. We also tried by measuring what HP we could set the engine at and keep the water at a certain temperature, this was also unreliable because the effect of altering the HP does not alter the temperature until after a certain time so that it makes it very awkward to adjust the HP correctly.

No.2 chart shows the results we obtained on the rig we have used before. The radiator under test is fixed to a stand, a standard fan is fitted at the back of it as on the car, the fan is driven at various speeds by an electric motor. Hot water is fed into the top of the radiator, the temperature of the water is kept constant at 80°C, the atmosphere temperature is kept constant, a the amount of water passing through is kept constant, it is 2 gallons per minute. This test gives us the difference in radiators with no obstruction for air once it has passed through the radiator.

On the chart 1 only give 3 curves, the other radiators follow so closely to those shown that the difference is not worth recording. The table below gives the weight and capacity of the various radiators.
