It is very unlikely that Glasgow will make parts on the same order number as Derby and/or Crewe.

We have considered two ways of receiving the necessary information in the Central Office from which to compile the card.

(a) By receiving once a fortnight all advice notes relating to any movements of material rough or finished, from the assembly firms and sorting these ourselves.

(b) By receiving a strip from the assembly firms giving the RT information once a fortnight. The strip is compiled from similar cards in this separate record office at the assembly firms. These latter cards would probably have extra columns giving references of all advice notes and inspection reports.

Your views on all this would be welcome. I would come to Crewe to discuss the project when you are ready.
