BENSPORT GEARBOX - SEPARATE CONSTRUCTION.

We send herewith a print of N. scheme 3519. which shews the gears as modified to suit the box mounted separately from the engine, and also to give other improvements over N. sch. 3490.

The forward end of the third motion shaft has been strengthened, and to enable this to be done the ratios are slightly altered -

They now are - 3rd. .75
2nd. .52
1st. .33
R.{Sir Henry Royce} .33

The reverse is of the long shaft type free from interference with the 1st. speed gear.

This print will enable a start to be made on the details of the box.

Further information will follow very shortly.
