mis. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}6/KT. 8.3.33. PEREGRINE OIL CONSUMPTION. We wish to do some experiments to reduce the oil consumption on this engine and suggest - (1) .015 chamfer on the scraper ring, the groove being shallower to increase the unit pressure Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}945. (2) Chamfer the gas ring next above the scraper ring as shown on Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}949. (3) Wide groove ring like the one that has been successful on the Kestrel - Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}947. (4) Two scraper rings, the upper one to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}946 fitted to the existing piston E.100525 modified to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}948. Will you please therefore prepare the necessary parts for these experiments, which will be carried out on the test bed. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
