Re 10,000 miles test on 93 NK.

We have not found any more fractures, or damaged parts on the car.

Marston has had all the crankshaft bearings off, and apart from being slightly dirty they are all O.K.

I take it, that all the piston rings of the "L" type are to be fitted, which were brought over. we shall also fit two new conrods.

We hope to have the engine running by to-morrow.

Examination of brakes shews near side front drum scored rather heavy. Offside O.K. Off side rear drum (foot brake) scored. Near side O.K. We have adjusted up the rear foot brakes one notch each - front brakes two notches each. All shoes are in good condition.

Front shock absorbers taken down and examined. These are in good condition, also the "Hartford" shock absorbers on the rear.

After taking the undershield down we noticed that there had been a very slight leak of oil from drain hole of flywheel case. We have not noticed this previously. One thing the leak is very slight, and the undershield is always choke-a-block with sand underneath the case, as explained in previous reports.

Nuts holding dogs on rear axle were half a turn loose when taken down for examination. we have tightened up sundry body bolts, etc.

The car, generally, is in good condition, and we hope to continue running as soon as Butler arrives back.
