With reference to magneto drives, I quite agree with your suggestion that we should standardise the serrated drives for the magneto, and that this should be done as quickly as possible because it has less slack, it is better forwear, and is easier to produce, and it is assumed that it will avoid the necessity of the brake on the magneto.

I quite agree that it is a safer policy to adopt this type rather than the fabric type, principally on account of the fabric type being likely to be damaged by heat. It will probably cost us less money because the whole is produced within our own Works. It has, as you say, the advantage too, that the end location of the magneto is [strikethrough] less exacting.
