c. to Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} Y6153 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.13/MA. 4th August, 1936. Messrs.Hoopers, Ltd., 54, St.James' Street, Piccadilly, London, S.W.1. Fitting of Car Radio Sets to R.R. Cars. Dear Sirs, We do not consider that there is any necessity to substitute a metal braided wire for the existing plain rubber cable from the coil to the distributor on our cars, in order to reduce radio interference. A 10,000 ohms suppressor resistance inserted in the existing lead is quite satisfactory without any plug suppressors if the aerial is correctly installed and the position of the body wires carefully supervised. We are particularly emphasising this point as we feel that a metal braided wire on the coil seriously prejudices the reliability of the ignition system. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
