Railway had been told by the Admiralty that some sort of identificationplate was urgently required on pedestal mountings. We have now been told by the L.M.S. that they have submitted a design of plate to the Admiralty, which they expect to be accepted. In view of the fact that you also will be submitting a design of plate, we suggest you send this direct to the Admiralty, pointing out the relationship of the lions with those which appear on the gun name plate.
