Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les15/KW19.6.34 If all Technical officials are agreed that this is satisfactory as an improvement by all means let us have some as quickly as you can so that we may fit them to the Trials cars. We certainly have had a number of complaints regarding the Controllable Dampers losing their efficiency. Cricklewood have had a number of criticisms of the inability to increase the damping in the back without at the same time increasing the damping in the front. I do not know whether this is a fair eritism-or criticism or not but no doubt you will be looking into this point. I understand from Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} that our system has been adversely compared with Hartford tele-controls for this reason. With regard to the method of fitting to our Trials cars, these cars are in constant use; it will be necessary, therefore, for you to send us the necessary parts and we will change over and send the parts removed back to you. If this is satisfactory I certainly think that Depot Sheets ought to be issued and the opportunity taken of grooving these as any of the Depots get the epp- chance. C. | ||
