To Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} c. to Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} c. to Mr. Finney - Park Wards. Handwritten: 1621 also 1001 also 1247. SUMMARY OF THE COACHWORK ACCESSORIES POSITION. Windscreen flutter. Tests are now being completed to show the maximum amount of flutter on our cars and other types. These should be completed this week. Door locks. Mr. Smythe of Wilmot Breedon has visited Park Wards with prints and samples of bolt and other types of locks. The writer arranged for Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} to be present, but as he is on holiday J.E.R. was to substitute. No results have been heard of this visit. No Draught Ventilators. These are fitted to 24.G.6. and Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}'s. car, they are ordered for 25.G.6. and 7.B.J. We should very much like to have this type of ventilator built into the doors on the 2 bodies now being completed at Park Wards. To do the latter, we should like to meet the representative of Head, Mo.Jean & Co. at Park Wards to discuss ways and means. Scuttle Ventilation. We have proved that the top scuttle ventilator when fitted with water tray underneath the scuttle is useless as a means of ventilation whichever way the ventilator is facing. We prefer the sealed type which does not require a tray. If these have not been already asked for on the new bodies we should do so now. (As an alternative). We are at the moment fitting a single ventilator into the side of the scuttle on 1.B.50. to come behind the spare wheel. | ||
