DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

I am directed to acknowledge receipt of your letter Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/JMS. dated the 25th. ultimo, and have to inform you that authority has been received from the D.O.F. to carry on with this contract.

Should the barrelforgings be delivered as stated, by the 12th. August, we will make our first issues at the end of August at the rate of four per week, until sixty barrels are completed, - making a total of sixty two of these barrels to Drawing No: Q.1712.
