from the transmission and could be felt and heard throughout the body, this was not violent but noticeable. This 12 cyl. engine is certainly smooth at high speeds.

16 CYLINDER CADILLAC.

Engine Disp. 7400 c.c. 16 cyl. 3" x 4"
Bearings 2" Valves 1 29/64" dia.
Car weight complete empty given as 3 tons, but hardly credible though frame very massive.
Maximum Body. 7 seater Limousine with drop partition.
Gear ratios given as 3.9 - 1 6.6 - 1 11 - 1 Reverse 13.2 - 1

Conditions of Test.

We were able to try this car on an arterial road against the trials car 94-G.N. which enables us to form fairly definite conclusions. Briefly, apart from the novelty of a 16 cyl. engine there was nothing outstanding in its performance. The car had done some 200 miles being the first R.H. chassis in England. The exterior finish of the engine was remarkably good. We anticipate that they will have cooling trouble.

Performance.

Engine very smooth on the pick up, acceleration from 10 - 30 equal to P.II. 30-60 superior P.II. about 1-2 lengths behind, 60 upwards very little in it but the
