Rudge Whitworth Wheels
---------------------

Replying to BJ14/H10.1.23, A sample set of 20 HP.
Wheels is on a chassis under observation by the Experimental
Department, and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} tells me he is replying to direct as far
as their tests up to to-day are concerned.

As far as 40/50 HP. Wheels are concerned, the
Rudge Whitworth Company wrote us on December 4th (copy attached)
making certain proposals as to what they would suggest in
connection with same. These were submitted to BY, but he
was of opinion same would not be satisfactory.

The Rudge Whitworth Company then submitted further
modifications, which are under consideration by the Drawing
Office, but, due to abnormal pressure therein consequent on
E.A.C developments etc., it has not yet been possible for them
to advise.

BY tells me, however, he hopes to do so very shortly,
and the Rudge Whitworth Company will then need about 4/5 weeks
to submit sample set.
