EFC/AMO.2.30. contd. -3- circuit to produce higher output is now available and will be put on the 20 HP. 10,000 mile test chassis. In the 40/50 HP. case we have one 48-coil armature machine arranged for medium output, i.e. without magnetic circuit modification. This machine, as regards output characteristics and noise, appears quite promising and will be run on the forthcoming 10,000 mile test of experimental chassis 23-EX. For more immediate needs we have in hand the provision of :- Three 56-coil higher output Phantom II dynamos, similar in all except rotation, to higher output Phantom I machines allotted to special clients, and One dozen 48-coil armature machines of each type 20 HP. and 40/50 HP. two of each kind of which will be provided with the magnetic circuit modification of the usual form, the effect of which is wellknown. These machines will be the subject of trial by the Test Dept. et EFC. | ||
