RR 238 (150 BKS.) (DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 461-8-12-24) MP 306975 X1357 ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To: E.R.C Date: 25th April 1929 Order No: A.D. 33 Customer's No.: X 1357 Midgley Head-Lamp Equipment This comprises a pair of head-lamps very similar to the Lucas but having an extra bulb in the top part of the reflector, a two-way switch, in plunger form, and a small junction box to facilitate connections. The extra bulb has a metal cap sprung on over the front portion which cuts off the directly dispersed rays from the filament and allows only a downward light to be thrown by the reflector. When passing, the extra bulb is switched on in place of the main bulb in both lamps. The finish of the apparatus is of a very high standard. Signed: J.Hill. This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
