to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 48530 EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}4/19.1.28. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RE INSTRUMENT BOARD. HOOPER SPORTS PHANTOM. Thank you for your wire re the above. We have wired you to the effect that, as the car in question is an experimental 10000 miles car, we should fit our framed instruments. Also, since it is going straight to Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence, and "R" has recently been urging these instruments, we feel we ought to back him up by using the sets we have made on our test cars. We are anxious to give the scheme a thorough test. Lastly, it provides the quickest solution to the problem of providing this particular car with a satisfactory instrument-board in the small time available. We think that these reasons are sufficient to justify our actions should they be questioned. If you will kindly send a frame to Hoopers at once, we will arrange for them to make and polish the board. By "frame" we mean the metal band which is screwed to the board. In no case should the patch itself be sent. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
