To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X-2649 Chateauroux, May 11th. We arrived back here to-night. 22-G-V rear axle has become very noisy, starts at 20 m.p.h. and continues up to 50 m.p.h. Evidently the teeth have started to pick up. It is not in a condition to continue running. I shall take the car up to Paris and have it examined. IReported upon it at Bedoin but you may not receive that report before this. Hamilton says he has had three more jaggers from the o.s. front brake on B-56-BN{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} coming from Lyon to here. I drove the car from Bedoin to Lyon and there was no sign of jagger. With regard to the correspondence received while away, I will answer in the morning. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/G.W.Hancock. | ||
