Dear Mr. Robotham, We have decided to undertake in two stages the re-cutting of one 6.50/16 Tyre mould which was described in my letter of Nov. 16th. In the first stage we will reduce the width of groove 'D', reduce the depth of groove 'D' and alter the angle inclination of this groove. The mould has been sent to a Birmingham mould maker for this engraving work to be done and its return has been promised for 16th. December. We shall then make tyres for you to test. If these tyres still squeal during sharp cornering, we shall then increase the overall tread width by taking away metal at the tread shoulders, as shown in the drawing we sent you. Yours faithfully, THE AVON INDIA RUBBER COMPANY LIMITED. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Mackay. DEVELOPMENT MANAGER AND CHIEF CHEMIST. | ||
