1020a 23rd. February 1938 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Mths.{Reg Matthews}2/AP. Messrs. High Duty Alloys Ltd., Buckingham Ave., Trading Estate, Slough, BUCKS For the attention of Mr.Perry. Dear Sirs, This is to confirm our telegram of today, cancelling the visit to Dennis Bros.Ltd., about which you mentioned to the writer over the phone this morning. The writer received a letter from Dennis Bros a few minutes after your call and apparently they have only done some 20 hours light running and so far have had no trouble. We hardly expect the bearings to be marked from the running so far given and have therefore written to Dennis Bros suggesting that we prefer to see the bearings after they have completed some full load running. We trust this change of arrangements will not inconvenience you to any great extent. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
