hc EC...from PN.{Mr Northey} Copy to Gx. PN.{Mr Northey}6/WT23.1.30. 29-WJ. When testing this car with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} and EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} yesterday at W. we agreed that the springs gave an impression of being on tyres pumped too hard. We therefore took the tyre pressures which were as follows :- N.F. 52 N.R. 32. O.F. 45. O.R. 32. I should be glad if you would let me have any explanation as to why or how the front tyres of this car became pumped to a pressure which even an office boy knows is detrimental to comfort, and unnecessary. Also, much the same condition was found when this car reached the Works previously, after a complaint of the same nature. PN.{Mr Northey} These tyres were tested by Collis in my presence. the pressures were 32 in the rear tyres & 38 in front. This was on the 15th January. The car was at W on the 17th.
