C O P Y. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}16/ML.9.9.40. 1. RATIONALISED ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS. When the 8-cylinder engine was built last week I was told that many errors were found in the L.O.P. I am relying on you to see that the specification and L.O.P.s of the rationalised engines are correct. Also that you ensure that deawing exist to enable the engine to go straight into production. 2. RUNNING AFTER SWITCHING OFF. We expect you to carry on with this job on the road, as and when circumstances permit. 3. CYLINDER BORE WEAR FIGURES. We have asked you to tabulate all the information available in a digestible form. We should like you to ensure that the oil consumption test result, which is to be run on 30.G.VII, is obtained in the standard way, so that it will be comparable with other figures we have obtained. 4. TEST BEDS. We presume that you are supervising the completion of the test bed here and that it will be absolutely complete before the millwrights shut down on it. 5. CYLINDER HEADS. Are you satisfied with the rationalising of the cylinder heads for the 6-cylinder range of motor cars, from 4 3/4 to 3 litre?. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
