SQUEAKING BRAKES ON 20 HP. CARS.

R.{Sir Henry Royce} has agreed that we can adopt the 'India' type of brake drum damper modified in the manner shewn on the Experimental Dept. sketch which we handed to you.

This enables the dampers to be fitted to existing cars without any difficulty.

We have sent round standardisation sheets for this damper.

We have already received a list of cars from London on which they wish this to be fitted. We have informed them that the Experimental Dept. cannot take on this work and that it will be dealt with by the various Depots in the ordinary way when the material is available.

It would appear advisable for the Works to put in hand a number of sets of material. No doubt the T.D. and R.D. would give you some idea of the quantities.
