STABILIZING BUMPER BENTLEY TYPE A.{Mr Adams} Confirming our telephone conversation this afternoon, with Mr Hardy in your absence, we are concerned in obtaining to time the Silicon Manganese Steel for the transverse springs. We enclose blue print copies of the springs, and shall be obliged if you will investigate the position, and let us know whether or not you can help us in obtaining the material quickly. Our best promise so far is fourteen days at the earliest. Regarding the eyeroll studs for the first three sets of bumpers, we require ten feet of 1 1/2" diameter rod, minimum dimension .5," minus .002, 3 1/2% nickel steel. We have already discussed this matter with the firm who do the Upsetting of the ends, and if you can let us have the steel quickly, say in the next day or so, we shall be able to get the end caps in a week's time.
