Fl. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X4508 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/LG26. 6. 29. RE. R.P. ADJUSTABLE THERMOSTAT. We are returning to you the R.P. Adjustable Thermostat. The trouble with this instrument is that the controlling spring is not located in any position with sufficient accuracy. This is particularly so when it is working at low temperatures. At high rates of flow the valve appears to flutter. We suggest that if they wish us to test it further that they should modify the instrument according to their letter of the 10th. May.
