Dear "Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}",

The other day we had the visit of a man who has taken out some patents in America, Germany, Italy, France and England, for braking. His principle is a simple cam arrangement in connection with the steering gear and a toggle adjustment on the brake rod mechanism.

By this system it is possible to apply more braking effect on the inside front and rear wheels than on the outer wheels when on a bend or locking over. The more one locks over the steering the greater is the braking on the inside wheels of the curve. On the straight the braking is normal.

He already has a chassis fitted up with this arrangement and apparently he gets good results when cornering.

Have you seen anything about this ? On the other hand would it interest you to have further details and a diagram of this patent if I can get hold of one.

His arrangement can be applied to mechanically and hydraulically operated brakes.

Yours ever
