To OY. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gy. /3806 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gy1/LH{Mr Haworth}14.2.29. BIJUR SYSTEM - CENTRAL LUBRICATION. 47980 We are very grateful for your lengthy and useful information on the Bijur system. We are going to look into each point thoroughly and will let you know the results thereof. Meanwhile, we shall be most gratified if you will tell us what you know of these further questions, which we have confined to the general operation of the system. We will write to you later on in respect of the chassis details, which require investigating. (1) We are unable to trace in our files or the drawings you sent us, any reference to the rates of the drip plugs you use. We should be grateful if you would send us a list shewing the number of ccs. per min. passed by the plugs. We do not think that plugs made by Luvax Ltd. are calibrated and numbered in like manner to yours. (2) We should be grateful to know how long your plunger takes to return to its seating using the oil you recommend : (a) In very hot weather. (b) In average weather. (c) In very cold weather. We are trying to keep our rate of flow down as much as possible to reduce discrepancies in pressure, and hope to have a system in which the plunger will not return to its seating in under 4 mins. in the very hottest weather. | ||
