30th December, 1937.

C.W. Nichols, Esq.,
Messrs. S. Smith & Sons (Motor Accessories) Ltd.,
Cricklewood Works, N.W.2.

Dear Mr. Nichols,

I have now received the attached correspondence from General Filters, Inc.

It is apparent that since my discussion with these people in America, earlier in the year, they have stabilised their prices which are higher than they originally quoted. One reason for this may be that they have improved the design of the filter case considerably.

We believe that the important feature from your point of view is the replacement cartridge, the cost of which is 30 cents. As far as I can remember this is about 1/3rd of what you are at present having to pay.

I should be glad if you would return the correspondence to me when you have had a look at it, and suggest that if you are interested further you should communicate direct with Mr. Webb yourself.

Yours sincerely,
