X.7941 X.7240 X.8770 X.7430 E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} has shewn me a letter from you re. items outstanding from WW. for production 10,000 miles car dated for Feb.14. We gave Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} some information on this point in our DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M19.1.29. Briefly we shall complete all the items outstanding from 'CamachaHenry Royce's office in West Wittering' at the end of this week, and most of them probably well before. We are working weekends and evenings, and doing everything possible to get the job finished. As regards the controls on the head of the column we have not had a definite indication from R.{Sir Henry Royce} exactly how he wants it done, so that we cannot be sure that our proposals will get through.
