Dear Sirs, RE. 16.G.4. FOR MR. ROYCE. We wish to confirm that we handed to you on Thursday last, January 10th., the drawings mentioned in the specification which we enclosed herewith. We have asked our Sales Dept. to send you an official order for the body, but we wish the work to go ahead at once. We would like to have delivery by the end of the third week in February, but we will fix on a date as soon as the subframe is delivered to you and the F.S.D. has been passed. The writer will call at your works on Friday morning to go over the drawing and settle any final details. The chief fetures of this body are:= It has to be light and yet strong. The head must go up and down as easily as that of a Morris Two Seater. As soon as you have advanced far enough we will arrange for our trunk makers to call and decided with yourselves and ourselves as to the best way of holding the trunks in the rear boot. As this car is for Mr.Royce's use on his return from France we are particularly anxious that small details which he may be particularly interested in should not be overlooked. The original of R.Sch. 2627. The drawing of the body was left with you. Would you kindly return it to us as soon as possible together with a print.
