| Contd:-3- It will be necessary to fit these bearings with the oil grooves and holes mentioned above, so that we get a true reading of the oil pressure in the crankshaft. In a preliminary run it will be essential to watch this oil pressure carefully, or we may spoil the bearings for want of lubrication, if the supply to the pins is as I anticipate, very poor and difficult. I am sending this message to Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} direct, because I understand he is about to leave for London to discuss this matter and will probably like to talk it over with Ag., Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} , the latter because he knows my special views on the lubrication question. | ||
