| X 261 To "Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}" Derby Sr7/ALG.30.II.33 Dear "Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}", When I last had the pleasure of seeing you you mentioned an aèro{C. C. Rose - Export Manager} dynamic design for a body on the Bentley. I have had one or two demands for such a design and should very much appreciate receiving drawings of the R.R. wind tunnel tested body. Is this possible ? You will be pleased to hear that we have now got a Bentley demonstrator with which everybody is very satisfied. The impression created during the Salon still remains, i.e. everybody who handles this declares it to be an astonishing motor car. I will shortly be sending you some interesting data by Charles Faroux and Mr. Perouse, President of the "Comité Sportif de l'Automobile Club de France" etc. I have not got yet Faroux's report for we have only just come back from our run with him but I can mention right now that he considers the brakes on this car to be the finest he has never seen on any make of car during his career. The brake test results at 63 miles per hour gave a reading of 38 metres. Faroux was extremely impressed stating that amount the average was 50 metres.x I will complete this information within the course of a few days. x on other cars. My kind regards to "Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}" and everybody. Alexis. S. | ||
