improvement if we are to carry higher stress on the spring generally, but granted we can manage this in a modification of the design. It becomes more important than ever that we should obtain consistency, a view in which I am certain you will concur, and it is with this object in view that I am returning to the issue, and would like the matter to be carried further, looking upon it as purely an enquiry as to the wide difference in behaviour of the two springs.
